Hyundai Genesis Coupe vs. Laguna Seca

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe might not be your first or even tenth thought when it comes to race cars. But the past few years have seen various teams take the Genesis Coupe into victory lane.

Case in point is this video from the Laguna Seca round from the 2014 United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC). This is Gary Sheehan who is driving a race-prepped Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L. Throughout the lap in this video, we can see the Genesis Coupe holding off a Mitsubishi Lancer and what appears to be an E46 3-Series Coupe. Also, the 3.8L V6 makes an excellent roar during hard acceleration.

Sheehan would take three consecutive wins in the 2014 USTCC season. Seeing how the Genesis Coupe performed in this video, we can see why.
