The 2017 Hyundai Elantra and the Honda Civic, spec on spec, go up against each other very well and the Elantra offers a lot when it comes to taking the title of the most popular sedan of the year.
Hyundai has now teamed up with Amazon Prime to promote the Hyundai Elantra in the same way as Chevrolet promoted the best-selling plug-in hybrid, the Chevrolet Volt.
Of course promotion didn’t sit well with the Chevrolet Volt due to the fact that the Volt didn’t get any benefit from any money from the advertising or marketing of GM. Still the car maker did manage to find a unique way to bring in customers.
This was by taking the vehicle to the address of buyers and they then test drove the vehicle with an expert sat at the side of them.
This led to over 12,000 units of the PHEV being sold this year to date. Hyundai is now taking the exact same approach for their compact sedan as they have teamed with Amazon Prime on Prime Now Drive Now. This means that people can order up a test drive using the Prime Now service.
The Hyundai Elantra is taken to the door of the prospective buyer and taken out on a test drive. At the moment only customers in Orange County and Los Angeles are able to take the test drive and only on weekends between 9am and 7pm.
