FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 11, 2019 – Car and Driver honors Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to quality, value and performance across a diverse product portfolio as six Hyundai models earn 2019 Car and Driver Editors’ Choice Awards.
The Editors’ Choice Awards stem from the Car and Driver 10Best Awards, and highlight vehicles that Car and Driver recommends for the top of every car buyer’s shopping list. Everything from design, performance and safety to the inherent value of a car is evaluated, narrowing buyer’s choices down to the segment leaders.
According to Car and Driver editors, the following key features gave each winning Hyundai the high marks needed to rank among the top of its class.
- Subcompact Sedan
Accent – A great bargain, well-made interior, and Car and Driver staff reported a strong 41 MPG during their evaluation period.
- Compact Hatchback

- Hybrid and Electric

Kona Electric – Impressive all-electric driving range, zippy acceleration, athletic driver.

Tucson – Great engine warranty, nice interior materials, polished on-road behavior.
