Hyundai's award-winning Genesis and Santa Fe/Santa
Fe Sport earned "Best Buy" awards from Consumer Guide® Automotive in
their respective segments. The Genesis earned the distinction in the large car
category and the Santa Fe/Santa
Fe Sport took home the accolade in the midsize crossover/SUV segment. The
awards were presented to Hyundai
at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
According
to Consumer Guide editors, "Genesis delivers
premium-brand luxury-car accommodations, interior room, and power at prices
that significantly undercut high-end American, German, and Japanese
competitors." In addition, editors commented on the value seen in Santa Fe. "Whether in
5-passenger Santa Fe Sport or 7-passenger Santa Fe form, Hyundai's midsize SUV
delivers a quiet, comfortable, nicely appointed cabin and the all-around
versatility that SUV buyers need."
Consumer
Guide awards a "Best Buy" rating to vehicles ranked at the top of
their class, and those that are strongly approved by the editors. "Best
Buy" vehicles represent the finest balance of attributes and price within
their classes, and they are the best choices for most consumers. In the past 11
years, Hyundai has
earned more than 35 Consumer Guide "Recommended" or "Best
Buy" ratings.
"Consumer
Guide Automotive is a trusted car buying resource and the 'Best Buy'
recognition bolsters the strength of our 2015 lineup," said Scott
Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America.
"These awards are a testament to our continued commitment to delivering
quality cars with leading design and performance at an unprecedented
value."
Representing
a bold step forward for Hyundai,
the 2015 Genesis
is new throughout, with a host of premium features and improved vehicle
dynamics. Riding on a heavily revised platform, the sedan is even more
structurally rigid than the previous generation. A suite of advanced assistance
features such as Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Blind-Spot Detection
and Smart Cruise Control are also offered.
The
2015 Santa Fe features an upgraded interior and sportier exterior, designed to
provide optimal performance and comfort for families. It continues to offer
front- or all-wheel drive and is equipped with the acclaimed 3.3-liter Lambda
II V-6, using gasoline direct injection and Dual Continuously Variable Valve
Timing (D-CVVT). The 2015 Santa
Fe also comes with Hands-Free Smart Liftgate with Auto Openmakes, making it
easier for the driver to access the cargo area by simply waiting for the
liftgate to open after standing within a few feet of the rear bumper.
