Hyundai's "The Elevator" Ranked as One of the Top Performing Super Bowl LIII Commercials



    • No. 4 Overall and Top Automotive Commercial on the USA TODAY Ad Meter
    • 63 Million Views Across YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 13, 2019
– Hyundai was a big winner in this year’s Super Bowl as consumers ranked “The Elevator” the fourth best commercial overall and No. 1 automotive ad on USA TODAY’s Ad Meter. In addition, the spot scored 623—well above normal—on Ace Metrix and outperformed all other non-luxury automotive brands.
With more than 36 million views on YouTube alone, Hyundai’s Super Bowl ad is currently one of the most watched Super Bowl commercials on the platform. The ad has a combined total of 63 million views across YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. In addition, “The Elevator” was one of the most talked about car commercials in the Super Bowl with over 18,690 social media mentions.
Hyundai’s chart-topping commercial also drove digital activity for the brand and interest in the first-ever Palisade. HyundaiUSA.com web traffic spiked significantly during the hour of the commercial, as did traffic to the Shopper Assurance and SUV Family landing pages. In addition, web tracking revealed that the Palisade model had a 654 percent lift on Edmunds.com and on Cars.com Hyundai received a 1,831 percent surge in traffic to brand pages during the game.

Hyundai Santa Fe Ranked Most Dependable Midsize SUV By J.D. Power


FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 13, 2019 – Hyundai’s Santa Fe received the distinct honor of most dependable Midsize SUV in the J.D. Power 2019 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). Released today, the annual Vehicle Dependability Study shows Santa Fe ranked highest in its class, beating out leading competitors in the 2016 model year. The Santa Fe delivers Hyundai’s recipe of bold design, high-output powertrains and a host of features to please drivers and passengers with high expectations for functionality, versatility and comfort.

The study covers 177 specific problems grouped into eight major vehicle categories.
For the 2019 model year, Santa Fe adds:
