New Hyundai Elantra Facelift in the Works

The next vehicle from the stables of Hyundai to get an upgrade will be its premium saloon - Neo Fluidic Elantra. The Neo Fluidic Elantra's facelift is expected to be launched in 2016, and we expect the saloon to be launched in India in the first half of 2016.

The vehicle was recently caught undergoing test runs. The updated model will sport the new design seen on the new breed of Hyundai cars. That said, there is no certain information available about the changes to the saloon's design. However, speculation suggests that the front profile could resemble that of the Genesis. The front fascia is expected to get hexagonal shaped chrome grille, leaner head-lamps with daytime running lights. Other changes could comprise tweaked front and rear bumpers and LED tail-lights.

As we mentioned earlier, details on the Elantra facelift have not been revealed yet, hence the lack of mechanical details. However, rumour claims that the Elantra facelift might continue to be powered by the same set of engines as the ones that power the current model. The recently launched Elite i20 has been bestowed with a modified suspension, therefore chances are that Hyundai could also make few revisions in the suspension set up of new Elantra to offer improved handling and driving dynamics.
